This beginners photography workshop is aimed at those wanting to get their cameras off automatic and into manual.  We will cover all the basics including shutter speed, aperture and ISO (the exposure triangle) and talk about framing and composition.  At the end of the day you should be more confident in how to correctly expose a photograph, and how to get an end result worth displaying on your wall.

For those already in manual you may wish to choose a specific subject you'd like to learn more about such as wildlife, macro, filters, long exposures etc, with a bespoke 1:1 session we can tailor the session to you.

Workshops will generally be held at Dinton Pastures between Reading and Wokingham as standard, a beautiful area with woods, lakes and wildlife.  However, you may wish to choose another location in the nearby area such as a National Trust property, or for extra travel costs somewere further afield such as The New Forest - after all it's your day.  With a 1:1 or 2:1 session, rather than a large group, all my focus will be on you and helping you get the most from your camera.

Start times will vary depending on location and time of the year, but will start early (sometimes for sunrise) and last for around four to five hours.  We will have a briefing and a theory session before heading off to start snapping, stopping as we go to review images, and go over any subjects as much as you like.
